ANNIE ELIAS (nee LETKEMAN) 1917 - 2010 Annie Elias of Salem Home in Winkler and formerly of Blumenfeld, MB passed away peacefully November 29, 2010 at Boundary Trails Health Centre at the age of 93. It is with great sadness that we say our final goodnight to our dear mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Annie is survived by six children, 31 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren, two brothers, four sisters and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, William V. Elias in 1969, almost 41 years to the day after he passed away. She was also predeceased by one daughter-in-law, one grandson, one great-grandson, one sister and four brothers. Mom enjoyed her life and the work on the farm at Blumenfeld as well as both the serving and fellowship of the Valley Harvest Maids. She was a blessing and an example to her entire family as an ideal mother, for which we will always be grateful. She was an inspiring example as she lived out her faith in Jesus Christ whether in the dairy barn, in the garden, in the kitchen or just as a friend. She will be fondly missed by all who knew her. Annie enjoyed living in the Salem Personal Care Home for the past five years. Her always upbeat attitude and infectious laughter encouraged both staff and fellow residents. A memorial service will be held at the Winkler Sommerfeld Mennonite Church, 182 2nd St. on Friday, December 3, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. The interment will take place one hour prior to the service at 1:00 p.m. at the family plot in the Winkler Cemetery. We, as a family, would like to express our gratitude for the wonderful care and kindness that the Salem staff showed to our Mom as well as to the staff at Boundary Trails Health Centre.
